IPD stage-gate pipeline (product projects)

This page describes integrated product development (IPD) for product initiatives: phases, stage-gates, what to prepare and submit at each gate, and who approves before the work advances.

Canonical source: Unified GTech Stage-Gate Framework (internal PDF — Integrated Product Development Process Flow: operational velocity and financial discipline). Keep the published PDF as the authority; this page is a tracker-facing summary.

1. Product

Tracker phase values (quick-validation, ideation, …) align with the phases below. Gates are decision points between phases; SPV Full Launch has no further IPD gate in this framework (mature operation and oversight).

Phases — timeline

Process / approval flow

At each gate, teams prepare a gating pack, submit it in the workflow, and named system approvers must sign off before work advances. The Product incubation template is the shared vehicle for multiple submissions at Gate 2 planning. Approver names are examples from the framework; substitutes follow "nominated by" rules in the process.

Legend: 📋 yellow = documents required to submit  |  ✅ green = system approvers who must sign off

Financial note: Capitalization is expected from Gate 2 / Prototype through the Alpha/Beta milestone. Abandonment may trigger impairment treatment per finance policy.

Discontinuation: BD may initiate a discontinuation recommendation in Velocity. Approvers: Ezwan and John.

2. Boss ask

To be defined — document the stage-gate or approval path for "boss ask" (or equivalent) initiatives here when the framework is published.

3. Other project types

When a project type is not product IPD, capture its own gates, gating documents, and approver groups below. Replace placeholders when each function publishes its unified framework.
